The Housemaid - by Freida McFadden (Book Review)
Hands down. Best Psychological thriller written till date.
One of the best Jaw dropping Psychological thriller I have read. If you liked Silent Patient, you would definitely like this book.
Unlike most novels, this story doesn't have too many characters. So it gets easily registered in your mind.
There are 3 main characters.
Millie - The House Maid
Nina - The House Wife
Andrew - Nina's Husband
2 Ancillary characters
Cecellia - Nina's daughter
Enzo - The house Gardener.
The book is split into 3 parts.
First part pictures Nina as a psycho, second part pictures Andrew as psycho while finally the 3rd part portrays Millie as the psycho.
The amount of twists and turns that takes part in the 3rd part of the book is breath taking. There were instances where I couldn't put the book down at the same take a pause, breathe in to picture in what exactly happened in the story because so many unexpected twists.
A must read and clearly hands down, one of the best thriller. The typical cop or private investigator based thrillers seems so lame in front of this book.
